Great entrance, receptionist showed me to my room and explained the concept of Passivhaus and how the room functioned. Had a lovely chat about the hotel's architecture in which I was very interested. The spa was amazing, the full spectrum infrared sauna along with the jetstreams. Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. All in all perfect.

The atmosphere, the superfriendly staff, the eye for detail, the superb restaurant: everything was wonderful. It is an oasis of peace and calm, only 15 minutes by car from the centre of San Sebastian. We would recommend this to everybody who is looking for a place to unwind, good food and a stunning view at the ocean. 10/10!

Comfortable room and bed, excellent breakfast. Far from the city centre, but easily reached by municipal bus.

Barceló Costa Vasca is 450 metres from San Sebastián’s Ondarreta Beach, next to Miramar Palace and Gardens. Rooms at the Costa Vasca are bright and minimalist, with lots of natural light.

The welcome was great, the staff were really pleasant. We got a lovely room with a sea and mountain view. It was our wedding anniversary and there was a nice bottle of cava in the room. They were very thoughtful. Breakfast was good and the Thalassotherapy spa was very relaxing. We used the spa every day. The location was great as it had a beach, walks, several restaurants and some nice bars in the immediate location. Plus it was a 20 minute drive into the centre of San Sebastian from there.

I practically never write reviews, but this place truly deserves it! 🙌🏻 It was a real escape from the hustle and bustle of city life—starting with the journey to the hotel. A tiny serpentine road winds into the mountains, passing through a beautiful forest straight out of a fairytale. The views were breathtaking, the rooms spacious, the food excellent, and the atmosphere incredibly romantic—calm and quiet. I slept like a baby. I absolutely loved that breakfast was served in the room—no need to rush in the morning. Just wake up and enjoy the moment with your partner. We stayed for two nights but wished we had booked a bit longer. The staff went above and beyond to take care of all our needs, even after we checked out. They managed to secure a reservation for us at a three-star Michelin restaurant—something we thought was impossible!
