The grounds of the hotel were immaculate and very well cared for. The reception staff were very friendly and polite and our room was as expected. The reception area had comfortable seating and allowed for drinks to be served from the bar. The breakfast was excellent with nothing missing except a selection of alternate teas (fruit) to avoid having to request this from staff.

We didn’t have time for breakfast as we were out early as we had a funeral to go to! The room was excellent warm,clean and lovely comfy beds,and dog friendly is a bonus!

Breakfast in our room was excellent and though we were late arriving for dinner it was not a problem to the very accommodating staff and kitchen.

Doubletree by Hilton Chester is set in an 18th-century manor house with 12 acres of landscaped gardens. The hotel is just outside Chester, a 2-minute drive from the M53 motorway.

Pretty much everything: the top-hatted doormen were always cheerful, friendly and informative. The quality of the food in the Brasserie restaurant was excellent. Our room was indeed quiet and was kept spotless by the housekeeping staff.

The Mill Hotel and Spa is located alongside the Shropshire Union Canal, 5 minutes’ walk from Chester Station. It offers 5 eateries and a leisure centre with a pool.
