Rooms were beautiful and immaculate, beautifully designed. The hotel itself was beautiful and with perfect Tuscany charm. Enjoying river view at every breakfast and sunset at dinner are perfect ways to start the day and wind down after a day of touring. Breakfast was good and the hotel prepared fresh fruit juices every morning and brought them to the table specifically for the guests (unlike some where fruit juices were just produced in bulk and placed on buffet bar table). Staff were attentive and joyful - happy staff happy place! Prior to our arrival we requested the hotel to make a few restaurant reservations and we were presented with a professionally prepared typed up letter with details of all the reservations. These are the little details that differentiate a true five star hotel from a mediocre one. We loved the place so much and it's by far one of the best 5 stars hotel we've stayed at.

The staff were really friendly and super helpful. The bed was comfortable, and I loved the small pastry selection and coffee/tea at the reception. We had to arrive there earlier than our check in time so we stayed in the reception and it was really nice and comfortable. The location was not at the very center of Florence but we took the bus every time and it was around 13 minutes to get to the center. Just make sure you don't get fined in the bus!

At check-in we received valuable information from the front office manager on different places to visit in the area, given that the hotel is in a strategic point in the center! The hotel is just excellent. The stuff is very friendly, everything is shining, room service was just perfect. The spa and pool was very clean and neat. The location is very convenient, close to all the main sights, though the neighborhood is very quiet.
