Enjoyed the exclusivity of the hotel and room as we booked the room with an attached open air private bath with onsen. We arrived late past 2300 when the last check-in timing was at 2100 but we were well attended to at the front desk. The bath is the highlight of the stay. The hot spring water is pumped up from the source and it is even scientifically tested for the water properties and potential health benefits. Unlike the typical shared indoors bath, the open air concept makes breathing easier and you have the whole tub to yourself. Note that it is only big enough for one person comfortably. You can have a view of the natural foliage while in the bath, and yet still hidden the public eye.

This was a really nice place to stay. I loved the overall retro vibe it has. Felt like I was stepping back into a time capsule to the 80s but definitely not in a bad and inconvenient way. There is a lot of charm here
