What better way to unwind after a day’s sightseeing than relaxing in a health and wellness spa? Spa hotels focus on maximum relaxation for their guests, with luxury features like hot tubs, thermal pools and professional massage services. Some spa hotels use mineral-rich water pumped straight out of the ground, helping to maintain and restore good health.

Clean hotel with traditional feel to it (tatami mats, samues). Very friendly staff (bit tricky with English but they had some translation app on little handheld devices). Lovely large onsen on the rooftop with views over matsue and lake shinji. Lovely large breakfast buffet. Absolutely loved the free massage chairs.

Everything! It was beautiful, serene, very attentive staff, super onsen and amenities. Spacious and comfortable rooms and beds. Breakfast seemed a bit expensive (¥2800 per adult) but was really great, so many quality items.

Really enjoyed how every where in the hotel was tatami floored. It was so nice not to wear shoes around for a change. The spa was amazing, and I enjoyed the free ice cream and the massage chairs after the onsen too.
