Kumu Beach is like being in paradise. Your eyes just won't get enough. The way the hotel is designed, combined with that stunning beach, rocks, and the pool are just incredible The staff is incredibly kind, from extra requests - such as breakfast on the go - to the chef coming to your table with dinner. The other guests were also very respectful and relax. This has been our favorite place in Sri Lanka.

This hotel is a pure sweet spot: a combination beautiful sandy beach with nice ocean view through palm trees, excellent and well-trained staff, huge variety of very tasty food, comfortable rooms and excellent management with focus on sustainability. We booked a room with breakfast and intended to dine outside, however upon our arrival a hotel manager Mr Fernando warmly welcomed us and recommended to try dinner buffet... And we did - the best experience (both breakfast and dinner) comparing 5 hotels in Sri-Lanka we visited during our 3 weeks vacation. Additional compliment to the way the hotel is managed - exceptional level of service, safety, sustainability and attention to the guests needs. I can't put in a review all the things we're positevely surprised with this hotel - it far exceeded our expectations, definitely recommend to stay here!

Our stay at Ahu Bay was nothing short of exceptional. The property itself is breathtaking, set between two bays with panoramic ocean views that create the perfect backdrop for relaxation. The seafood, in particular, was outstanding — fresh, carefully prepared, and always cooked to perfection. What truly sets Ahu Bay apart, however, is the quality of its staff. From the front desk to the restaurant and beyond, every member of the team was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay feel special. Really nice room located next to the beaches. Very good breakfast in quantity! And the staff are really nice and helpful. They took us for a boat trip to see the mangroves and to see what there is to see around. And show us the gems from Sri Lanka. Highly recommended!

This place is paradise. Only a few bungalows, that are beautiful and super confortable. We loved the outdoor bathroom. The overall place is amazing with a huge swimming pool, a beautiful garden in the middle of the mangroves. Many birds and animals to see. The food was very good, and the whole family is super welcoming. We also recommend the boat tour they propose.

Excellent facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Well located, close to the main street of Ambalangoda. Delicious breakfast too. Our children loved playing in the pool, and we all felt very welcomed. Excellent value - highly recommended! :-)
