This Hotel was a total surprise. Very nice ambience and staff. One can see and feel how the Hotel is run with a real attitude to hospitality and style. Very clean. Classy design. Breakfast buffet the best I can remember. Great deal of choices you dont find in other places. Also interesting details of how they offer things. They have a special touch. Including decent live Grand-Piano music and Flowers. Great parking spot and system nearby. And right in the historical centre with the harbour atmosphere. Also the bathroom design is very classy. Staying at Solar de Vila Meã was a beautiful experience from start to finish. The first thing that struck me was the setting — it’s absolutely stunning. Surrounded by vineyards and peaceful countryside, the entire property feels like a hidden retreat. Every view, whether from the room, the pool, or the garden, looked like a painting. There’s a real sense of calm and space here that’s hard to describe but easy to fall in love with. The restaurant, Barro, completely exceeded expectations. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely proud of what they serve, which made the whole experience even more special. If you’re looking for a place that combines natural beauty with exceptional food and a sense of quiet luxury, I couldn’t recommend Solar de Vila Meã more highly.

The room was very comfortable and the facilities (Pool & Sauna) were very relaxing. The breakfast service was also very tasty. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Friendliness of the staff from reception, house-keeping and restaurant staff. We have stayed here a number of times over the years and the outdoor terrace with seating, sun loungers and outdoor pool is the perfect area to relax. We visit Viana Do Castelo for family and Axis is in a great location to visit all the areas we need to which are all within walking distance. A lovely hotel.
