We spent a week hiking around Maderia and this hotel was fantastic to come back to each afternoon and relax by the outdoor pool and spa. The outdoor pool was great, a nice little sun trap and we didn't struggle for a seat for the whole week. The indoor spa was amazing - really great facilities with the steam room and sauna, 4 seasons shower and warmer indoor pool. We had a sea view room which was great to watch the sunrise. We used the spa facilities and had a massage all of which was very good. The hotel was very clean and every member of staff we came across was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful and they served it early too which was great for when we were off early for a hike. Parking was also easy and lots of spaces.
