Wonderful, kind and amazing staff, extremely polite and helpful; massage ladies were awesome, beautiful pool and rooms that were extremely comfortable and clean. Great food variety. Kitchen staff woke up early to make up breakfast so we could catch our flights. Good beach. The perfect quiet and private getaway in a beautiful location. Family friendly. Would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a small sized high-quality 5 star hotel. Would definitely go back again.

I stayed at few hotels in Zanzibar and here it is different - original bush has been saved , added flowers and endemic plants.African style architecture blended inside the garden , tastefully decorated rooms and some villas, each has different theme. This is an amazing spot. We had a fabulous visit and look forward to returning. The bungalows are spacious, private and very nice inside. The food and drink options are very good and vary enough day to day, and the pool and setting is just lovely. I didn’t actually visit the nearby beach as we’re happy by the pool and lagoon, but maybe next time! The main thing to compliment though is the staff, they are faultless in their service and friendliness. We would very highly recommend this resort for a properly relaxing time in Zanzibar :-)

Excellent location for quiet vacations. The tide change the view all the time. The villas are spacious, well equipped and modern designed. The sea view villas gives you the privacy that you want. The food was excellent , the chef overcome our expectations. Service was really good. The free massage in spa was very nice and the girls really polite. We didn't want to go out of the hotel area because it was perfect.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Pongwe Beach Hotel. Our room was amazing, with our own pool for a dip in the mornings, as well as a lovely pool. The size of the resort meant we never felt crowded at the pool or dinner facilities. The menu was amazing, dinner options changed daily and everything was ordered was delicious with fantastic, fresh produce.
