Had an enjoyable experience for our first ever safari, the River Lodge was tastefully decorated and had ample space for guests to roam around and soak in nature. The planning of meal/snack times and activities was done very well, it made the whole safari experience seamless and we felt that our time there was well spent. We could also see impalas coming to our room's balcony area! The food was tasty and well plated! We had a wide selection of both food and beverages. The restaurant staff were friendly too. The main highlight would still be the safari drives. Our safari guide and spotter (Tervin and Philip) did an amazing job teaching and showing us about wildlife (e.g. animal sightings, footprints, animals' diet). They also shared about the vegetation and how it relates to parts of their culture. They took great care of us by giving us blankets when the days started to get cold. They were hospitable, friendly, and professional as well. Our guides made our first safari trip even more memorable with their warm personalities.

Exceptional service in an exceptional location. once you’ve done a safari in a private reserve you will never look back, and this is the best lodge in the best reserve. Made to feel very special, all the staff knew our names from the moment we arrived. Game drives all stunning, good fabulous and nothing was too much trouble. already plotting our return, and this time we will bring friends and family to share it with. Great lodge with only 10 rooms, everything was very familiar and made our stay unfortgetable. The rooms or little lodges we're clean and food was delicious. Very nice staff, especially our driver Jika is a great guy, we had so much fun. We saw the big 5 within 2 days. P.s. Don't follow Google maps, you have to get to the main entrance gate to Moditlo Reserve.

From start to finish our stay at Rhino’s Rest was fantastic and we didn’t want to leave! From the beautiful meat and cheese platter on arrival to the champagne and cake for a birthday everything was more than we could have imagined. Adél goes out of her way to ensure you have an amazing stay and the best text ever received “lions on the property - please be careful” was a significant highlight. The drives were well organised, flexible and relaxed - Adél provides the snacks and the home made dip was incredible! The house was spotless and getting laundry done an added bonus! We will definitely be returning soon!

The spacious and ultra luxurious rooms (which were well equipped and quiet) and the serene yet central location made us wish we booked a longer stay. Stunning location to explore the many activities and experiences that the town of Hoedspruit and surrounding area has to offer. Little shops, restaurants and of course the Greater Kruger are right on your doorstep. We were warmly greeted and the helpful and friendly staff assisted us in planning and arranging everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and memorable.
