Cahuita
Comprising a garden and barbecue facilities, Green Corner is a recently renovated accommodation in Cahuita located close to Blanca. There is a private entrance at the holiday home for the convenience of those who stay. The holiday home also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. We were completely satisfied with your three-week stay. The equipment of the cottage in which we stayed corresponds to the given category and is functional. The owner is very friendly and helpful. But what is absolutely exceptional is the location of the accommodation. The cottage is in a beautiful garden on the border of the town and the Cahuita National Park. This means that in a few minutes you can reach a well-stocked supermarket, restaurants. At the same time, you are a short distance from several beautiful and (in July) almost empty beaches and a tropical rainforest. As a bonus, capuchin and howler monkeys roam around the cottage almost daily, but you can also see agoutis, toucans and hummingbirds there. It's like you are staying in the middle of a zoo.

This is a correction of an earlier review, which for some reason picked up my unfavourable review of another establishment PLEASE ignore the previous one, which hopefully will have dropped off.
I stayed three nights. The Ecolodge is about 2 miles outside Cahuita, the last half mile unpaved. You can get there with 2WD but may be more comfortable with 4WD, if only for clearance. The Ecolodge consists of a central reception/breakfast/dining room, with numerous nearby cabins. Although conveniently close to Cahuita, it is elevated and truly in the depths of the rain-forest, supplemented by careful planting to generate a delightful, colourful surround. The view from my balcony was idyllic, and the sound of the howler monkeys when they passed unforgettable; as was lying in bed listening to a tropical thunderstorm. The spring-fed natural swimming pool is a delight, especialy after a sweaty day exploring Cahuita.
It is a lodge, not a hotel, so there is no restaurant. Breakfast is delicious, and cooked hot on an individual basis; and dinner is available if you warn them in the morning or the night before. Staff attend as required, but the owner/manager lives on site and is always available (via WhatApp if she is in town). They were very helpful, arranging massages and an excellent English-speaking and knowledgable guide. The room itself was clean and spacious, with a good shower.

Really loved the location amongst the wildlife and so close to the beach. Very relaxed vibes and enjoyed the breakfasts. Bungalows were fun and quirky.
Werner was a really friendly and helpful host. We had a great time! Breakfast was delicious, the rooms were clean and spacious. La rana has everything you need and more. Werner went out of his way for us to feel comfortable and he even got my mother some almond croissants for her birthday. We liked it so much, we decided to stay a night longer.
The location close to Cahuita (10min ride) and swimming pool was great. We didn’t try the breakfast but it was offered to us for $6 which is nice. Lots of parking space and very quiet. We saw a sloth on a coconut tree next to the pool which was our highlight of the stay at La Diosa.
The room was very spacious and clean. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We also liked the location of the hotel, because we could reach the playa negra and the playa blanca/national park quickly. There was water, tea and coffee for free all day long. The breakfast was delivered to the terrace of our hotel room, which was very pleasant.
Beautiful garden, lovely spacious suite, good pool, great breakfast.
we liked everything. it was right across the street (not a busy one!) from a beautiful beach. All kinds of animals like sloth, frogs, agutis etc. right there in the fantastic garden. the hosts are super friendly and relaxed. There is no breakfast included but you could get some next door. we would definitely return!
