The host was lovely and so accommodating. The lodge was very comfortable and we didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be back.

Warm, plenty of space, good location, exceptionally well supplied with towels, linen, cooking needs, you name it. This place is a jewel.

Breakfast is complimentary and offered in traditional full English breakfast with fish options. Vegetarian and Vegan alternatives are also offered. The lodge is very comfortable, clean and well organised. The staff were all really friendly, and everything we needed was provided for us. The rooms were also spotlessly clean. The location is also perfect for walking around Windermere and its surroundings. The communication was also really helpful. We walked up Orrest Head thanks to the recommendation from the hosts - a lovely view at the top!

Set in 21 acres of country gardens, moors and woodland, Gilpin Hotel has a Michelin starred restaurant, a casual pan Asian restaurant, a Champagne Bar, lounge and terraces, a relaxing Spa Space as well as resident llamas, alpacas, and micro pigs. The staff was exceptional! Everyone went out of their way to help us and make our stay very pleasant. Our suite was beautifully decorated and the grounds are lovely (especially love your peonies)!

Beaumont House is a charming, family-run Victorian guesthouse, exclusively for adults, nestled in a peaceful location just moments from the vibrant center of Windermere. Perfectly positioned, it is only a short stroll from Windermere Railway Station and offers complimentary Wi-Fi and private on-site parking. Beautiful period property. Tasteful decor. Lovely room. The owners were very welcoming and a lovely cooked breakfast with quality ingredients.
