This building is beautifully designed, located in the hilly area of ​​the beautiful city. Also, the food served here is of good quality and delicious. The rooms are great for the price. It had been a dream of mine to stay at Tea Trails since 2019 and I couldnt be any happier with the experience. It will always be one of the most special moments of my life as I proposed to my girlfriend here. Huge thanks to the staff for recording our moment. The hotel is flawless, service and food could not be any better. Purely by coincidence we stayed here as the Hotel was featured on BBC "Amazing Hotels, life beyond the lobby". We were lucky that on our second day we were the only guests at Dunkeld bungalow so could enjoy everything to ourselves. The view from the infinity pool is probably the best I will ever see. Sure it's an expensive hotel but if you have the opportunity to stay here you wont regret it.

Decided to visit the Fleming Resort, situated between Norton and Ginigathhena, in the Ranges of the Samanala Kanda (Adams Peak). We made a reservation for two rooms for our family of 5. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and each room had its own balcony to view the Norton Bridge mountain range from the balcony. The best part about this resort, the owner and his wife are super friendly and made us feel very homely. All the rooms have a mini fridge to store refreshments and also have an attached bathroom with hot and cold water showers. The bathrooms are super clean. Meals are provided on request at reasonable rates. The foods provided are very delicious and real Sri Lankan style dishes are served. The resort also provides free WiFi throughout the property, and free private parking for guests who drive in. A must go place with the family.  My ratings are as follows: Rooms: 5/5; Cleanliness 5/5, Service: 5/5; Location: 5/4. Close attractions are Aberdeen falls, Norton Bridge, Laxapana Falls.

We had the pleasure of staying at The Scottish Planters Bungalow – Glendoven in September 2025, and it was truly a highlight of our trip. This beautiful, 140-year-old bungalow has been immaculately preserved, retaining its original flooring, furniture, and architectural charm. The blend of historic elegance with modern comfort made our stay unique and memorable. Our room was clean, spacious, and well-appointed, offering a high level of comfort. The views from the property were stunning, especially in the early mornings and evenings. A real standout was the food—easily five-star hotel quality, beautifully plated and absolutely delicious. The highlight of our mornings was enjoying breakfast on the veranda, overlooking the serene tea plantation. A truly special experience. We were also very impressed with the service, especially from the manager, Manusanka. He was incredibly helpful, even contacting us before our arrival to offer assistance with transport from the railway station. Throughout our journey, he kept in touch to ensure everything went smoothly and that we were comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the charm of colonial-era Sri Lanka with the comfort of modern hospitality. This place offers a perfect blend of history, tranquility, and top-tier service.

The homestay serves a continental and Asian breakfast and breakfast in the room is also available. The restaurant at The Paulwood cabana home stay specialises in Asian cuisine, and is open for dinner and lunch. Very cozy, clean and friendly staff.

If you’re seeking peace and an escape from the noise of daily life, this is your sanctuary. A huge shoutout to Ashley and the incredible team for making us feel right at home, like family. Sadly, my stay was only one night, but it’s clear this place deserves more time. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be back! Keep up the amazing work!
