The Royal Island Resort & Spa is a 30-minute wheeled aircraft ride from Malé International Airport. A mandatory transfer is provided by the resort, and charges are to be paid upon arrival. The hotel is quite old, but it is clean, stuff is great, food is wonderful! The reef is really great, saw there a lot of sharks, turtles, rays, thousands of different fishes and even dolphins came two times right to the edge of reef in front of our villa. The sunset villa is the best location, because there is the best beach and the most interesting part of the reef. Definitely recommend. May be it is not a modern hotel, but alll the rest is great.

The resort boasts stunning natural features and exudes a barefoot vibe throughout. The coral reef is in exceptionally good condition, with a fascinating array of wildlife! The bars and restaurants are excellent as well, though the main restaurant is dominated by Indian flavors. An excellent choice for a quiet and peaceful retreat.

Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. The accommodation features a shared kitchen, room service and organising tours for guests. Warming and helpful staff. The room was clean and renovated.we chose an indoor one, and others have patio or balcony. The restaurant was perfect, the owner fully understood our problem coming late.
