The resort boasts a large fitness centre, pool and a sauna. It is 20 minutes from the Mulu Airport by car. Breakfast was designed to serve people from many locations and interests. Staff exceptional in service. I was surprised that the hotel took such care to protect the environment. People could enjoy the sounds, smells of the forest. And it didn’t feel like we interfered too much on the life of the communities.

Located off the coast of Borneo on Gaya Island, Bunga Raya Island Resort & Spa features spacious villas with a private balcony. The resort boasts an outdoor pool and 3 dining options. Free WiFi is accessible from the villas. We had the most amazing stay at Bungaraya! The location is idyllic, the staff are the best, most wonderful people and were fantastic at helping organise a proposal 🥂. It is the ideal place to learn about the conservation efforts and get away from the world. We really liked that we couldn't get wifi in the villa as it made us disconnect and appreciate where we were more but that might not be practical for everyone. The food was delicious and fresh with a mix of local and international flavours. All in all a wonderful place and hopefully we will be back in the future! **Side note - we were lucky enough to stay at the Gayana Marine resort on the other side of the island for a few days and it was equally amazing! Very relaxed vibes, perfect if you want seclusion and watch the marine life 🐟

Activities can be arranged at the tour desk on site. the room is spacious and the facility can be used. the room also in a clean condition. the wifi is okay. it was a great experience. the food also nice.

Spent most of our time at the Samoan bar in the evenings during sundowner. Great food, great cocktails and wonderful staff led by Fen and her team of Febby, Nazirul, Stephanie. Great team and wonderful to interact with. Hats off to their professionalism. We had an amazing time for 3 days at the resort and Sampan Bar. Keep up the good work.
