Rooms are great, Spa is out of this world. 2 pools, one by the sea and one in the middle of the jungle at the spa. Amazing. The sunrises are incredible, the sun comes up, surfers catching the first waves … what a sight.

The guest house also offers outdoor fireplace and a picnic area for a day out in the open. We visited Panama for the second time, and once again, we absolutely loved it. While looking for a beautiful place to stay, we came across this little hidden gem 💍– and what a find it was! Arrival & Welcome We were picked up by a private boat and warmly welcomed. The boat ride took around 45 minutes and was truly enjoyable. Along the way, we received interesting information about the surrounding islands – and even spotted dolphins! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a delicious welcome cocktail before our first meal. Such a lovely touch!☀️😍 Room The room was spacious and very comfortable. We’ve seen a lot of bathrooms throughout Panama, and many of them lack a proper shower. But here – the shower was fantastic! Great water pressure and lovely hot water – such a treat. :) Breakfast Breakfast was amazing. The host really listened to our preferences, and I was thrilled to have my fried egg every morning – along with fresh fruit and avocado. A perfect start to the day! Lunch Lunch was absolutely delicious – we had shrimp with coconut rice and plantains. A real taste of local cuisine that felt authentic and lovingly prepared. Dinner The highlight of our meals was definitely pizza night on our last evening! It was such a fun, communal experience with homemade pizza in creative and tasty varieties. So cool – and honestly, unforgettable. Surroundings The water around the property was crystal clear – it felt like swimming in a private aquarium. We saw a small shark, a stingray, colorful fish, and more – all right in front of our room. I’m usually a bit hesitant in the water, but here, I felt completely safe and at ease. The trees, the light, the tranquility – I can’t even describe how beautiful it was. Truly one of my personal highlights – such peace and connection with nature. Activities The hosts’ children were incredibly kind and welcoming.

This 4-star hotel offers a shared kitchen and luggage storage space. Staff on site can arrange a shuttle service. I absolutely loved the spacious bungalow with lots of windows and the big porch, all surrounded by nothing but tropical garden. The houses are far enough from each other so that each one has its privacy. I enjoyed Meghan’s yoga class a lot, the yoga studio in the treetops with ocean view is amazing and I was allowed to use it for my own practice, too. Breakfast and dinner at the beautifully located restaurant was very good, each day different and I liked that it was mainly made with ingredients from the garden. I had a bit of bad luck with the weather but it looked like the reef in front of the property is worth checking out with snorkeling gear which is provided by the hotel as well as kayaks and SUP boards. I thought it was easy to get anywhere by watertaxi and Meghan and Ryan were always happy to help with anything.

Jungle Paunch is a fantastic place to stay, and I would absolutely come back to this place. It's right down the road from the ocean and within walking distance to a few restaurants. The howler monkeys are loud in the morning, but it's exciting to be able to stay in nature and experience it so closely. Overall, you are instantly relaxed when you arrive at Jungle Paunch.

Vegetarian and gluten-free options can also be requested. I do not have words to describe this magical place. I can honestly say one of the best days of my life. The place is amazing, the food was so tasty. We had a great time kayaking and attempting the peddle boat... But, the Monkeys, were the reason I came. Francine is an inspirational woman, who loves and cares for these gorgeous animals like no other. I am still speechless, Thank You for such an amazing experience

The villas also feature a living area, a kitchen and coffee maker. This is THE PLACE to come to! Do not even try anything else, it won't be in the same galaxy with this. We planned on coming back the minute we got there :)
