A traditional hotel with lots of history. The rooms were great, a very comfortable balcony looking over the garden. Dinner was excellent (especially the beer). Very much enjoyed.

Location is great just on the edge of town. Parking on site is a bonus and the staff are very welcoming. The beds are comfy and the room we had was very spacious.

We booked a spacious apartment with two terrace, unfortunately just for one night as we were transiting from Frankfurt airport. The place is very beautiful and calm, breakfast was amazing, bed very comfortable. We were allowed to do the early check in / late check out which helped us a lot. Thank you!

Altstadt Hotel Baunachshof is, as its name suggests, in the old town and a great location for sightseeing in that area of Wertheim, walking up to the castle, or strolling the short distance to the confluence of the Tauber and Main rivers. The spotless room was remarkably well equipped and designed to be practical, seeming larger than its size. It has good lighting, a spacious bathroom with good shower, fridge, table and two chairs. When we failed to spot the QR code on the room card for Wifi, I asked via booking.com and the hotel team rapidly explained. The parking garage is very close and reasonably priced at EUR5 for a day. We opted out of the breakfast and popped round the corner to a super bakery (Bäckerei Frischmuth) for a lighter breakfast.
