I explored the region with Phurbu, a guide from the institute, who took me on his Royal Enfield motorcycle to visit key sites such as the Tibet Museum, the Tibetan Library, various monasteries, and the Dalai Lama’s residence in McLeod Ganj. We also visited the peaceful ashrams in Dharamkot, a hidden gem for those seeking tranquility. The restaurant at Norling House serves delicious traditional Tibetan cuisine, including steaming momos, butter tea, handmade noodles, and the hearty tsampa porridge for breakfast. The food is simple but authentic, offering a taste of local Tibetan flavors. Overall, Norling House is an excellent choice for those looking for a culturally immersive and peaceful stay in Dharamshala.

Location perfect for Norbulinka Clean room, comfy bed , nice views , helpful staff

Great view of Dhauladhar range from the room balcony. Very helpful staff who promptly went out and got medicine we wanted from the nearest pharmacy. The vehicle by which we arrived from Dalhousie gave some engine problem and the front office manager promptly arranged alternative vehicle to proceed to Shimla at a reasonable charges.

The quality of food is amazing

Our stay at Hotel DH was truly exceptional. The rooms were clean, with comfortable beds and thoughtful amenities. Receptionist Mr sunil Mehra was very helpful. Other staff persons Arvind and Aaryan were also very friendly and responsive to our requests.

the staff was really helpful and useful, the view from the room was breath-taking, the hotel itself is really beautiful, we had filter coffee left for us, we got complimentary water, breakfast was nice, check in was efficient
