I’ve been traveling in Sri Lanka for three weeks, and Crown Regency is the best hotel I’ve stayed at. It’s not far from the bus station, with a market and supermarket nearby. The best part is you don’t need to worry about finding a restaurant—the rooftop restaurant’s food is incredibly delicious, and the breakfast is hearty. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is great, and locals often dine there too. I even met some friendly locals at the restaurant who took me around Badulla. The hotel is in a quiet alley with stunning mountain views, beautiful in both rain and shine. The price is very affordable, yet the service feels like a five-star hotel. Vinishya, in particular, went out of her way to show me a wedding venue hosted at the hotel. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable—I’d say cleaner than many four-star hotels. The air conditioning and fans work perfectly, and the hot water in the bathroom is reliable. The Wi-Fi is a bit unstable, but I managed fine with my phone’s network. I originally planned to stay one night but ended up staying three. Thank you, Crown Regency, for providing such high-quality accommodation for travelers. This is my honest review.

It is in a quiet and beautiful location with amazing views. The hotel is clean and nicely decorated. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. The food at the restaurant is tasty, and the pool is wonderful. My room was clean and comfortable, and I loved being surrounded by nature. A perfect place to relax!

We saw giant squirrel’s , jungle fowls , horn bills and much more birds while we relaxing, It’s good because it’s away from busy city but not far just by 1km which is 10 min walking distance, We made little Adam’s peak for the sun rice because it was just 20 min walking by the place, Breakfast is great they served fruits roti’s and some srilankan dishes as well, The spicy tea tastes good.

A very nice hotel in Ella. The rooms are large and clean. The manager is extremely friendly and courteous. He always asks if everything is okay and responds immediately to any requests. The breakfast is delicious and offers a wide selection of local and international specialties. The hotel is in a great location. It is secluded, so you can enjoy peace and quiet, but the main street is only a few minutes' walk away. The view is spectacular. We would definitely come back again.

The location was excellent. Only a few minutes' walk away is the railway station and city center. The hotel is lovely and the room was large and spacious. It is a very nice friendly atmosphere, very spacious and very clean room, big king size bed with neat and clean sheets, linens and pillows, attached bathroom to have a hot shower and very clean toilet and shower area. Shiva was the most respectful and kind host managing very well. He was very helpful, when I was limping. Provided a medicated oil with hot water soaked towel to apply on leg muscles to relieve pains and to feel better. He followed up genuinely on my need like a professional care taker. Also he arranged a good masseur practice close by for a nominal fee. There was another very good lad , Nesan, who too was helping me to the masseur and provided a translation service to her on my leg problem. It was a great help from them and it worked very well for me to continue my hike on "Little Adam's Peak" Being a vegetarian with no egg, Shiva arranged, of course with lead time, a custom made vegetarian breakfast that was served very well. It was very very helpful and good too. Can definitely highly recommend this place!
