Food and drinks were lovely, we had some dinner and juice. The room was clean and comfortable, perfect size for us (we were 4 adults). Staff was very helpful and nice. The environment was beautiful, an amazing garden and pool. I would recommend this place to friends and family.

Great brand new hotel with spacious rooms and a nice pool to cool down after climbing up the rocks. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, they gave us advice on where to eat/drink and arranged transportation at a very reasonable price. The breakfast is excellent, you cannot eat it all. We were served fruits and freshly squeezed fruit juice, then omelette and next pancakes/local specialty halaba. Also, if you go up the road leading to the hotel you’ll see the fields and a nice lake, perfect location when you’d like to get a break from the tourist crowds

We had an absolutely delightful stay at Lion Gate Hotel Sigiriya. We spent two nights there, and without a doubt, it’s the most charming and welcoming hotel we’ve experienced. Bernard, who manages the hotel, goes above and beyond to ensure your comfort, and his friendly staff make you feel right at home. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of dishes—many of them traditional—that catered to all tastes. The hotel was very clean, and every team member was friendly and warm. Additionally, all the nearby attractions were easily accessible. We would love to stay here again anytime!

We loved our stay there! The hotel is directly in the nature but also close to the main attractions such as the Lions Rock. The team there is the best, they help you out with everything you need (organise a TukTuk, trips for you) and are really friendly! They even showed us how to play the traditional game Carrom - it was real fun!

Loved the little separate cabins for rooms. Nice big comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Nice relaxing pool area and very clean. Had dinner from the restaurant one night which was delicious and the breakfast each morning was great! Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. Offered to help to arrange tours and transport if needed but not pushy at all.

    Amazing accomodation and the swimmingpool is the best as it can get very hot in Sigiriya. Very good, local breakfast was served every morning. The location was perfect as well - it is possible to walk to the city centre during the day. I would definitely recommend!

    Location, staff was very nice and welcoming, nice garden, good pool. Hotel restaurant provided not only breakfast, but also lunch and dinner. The hotel owner helped with organising transfer, tuk tuk and jeep safari for very good prices.

    Lovely small resort with 5 cottages, restaurant and pool area. Quiet location in a jungle feeling. Very kind and helpful staff, assisting in arranging transportation or anything else you may need. Free bikes to rent. A 10 min Tuktuk ride to the “city center” will cost about 1000 Rs. Breakfast was either Sri Lankan (curry, grasshoppers, roti) or western (toast, scrambled eggs and jam).

    Stunning location, lovely pool and comfortable rooms, but what makes this place so special is the host and staff. We felt so well taken care of, our trips were organised at a good price, the food was fab…. If you are in Sigiriya then book here, you will not be disappointed.
