Everyone was nice and far exceeded our expectations. It was also very cheap and all the food was affordable. The staff were also very friendly and kept checking up if we needed anything else. Above all of this the view of the Himalayas was AMAZING!!

The Chef House Resort is an exceptional place in Kathmandu! We enjoyed the spacious room, the hot shower which worked flawlessly all the time, the high-quality food, including lunch/dinner and the continental breakfast which was included in our booking. The location is great for visiting the big Stupa and the famous Hindu temple. Just on the other side of the road there is a new and modern supermarket, very convenient. The airport is also not far away (20minutes with a taxi for ~4€). We can highly recommend this little oasis in Kathmandu which allows you to relax from the sometimes chaotic, dusty and loud city 😊

The space and size of the suite are incredibly large and spacious. It features a generous living area with a balcony, which we didn’t use due to the air pollution outside. However, the living room was extremely comfortable, perfect for watching TV, exercising, doing yoga, relaxing, or even taking a nap. The kitchen is spacious but has only the basics, suitable for preparing tea, coffee, or simple meals. We requested a French press at the reception to make coffee, and they provided it immediately. The bathroom is large, but there is no curtain or partition to prevent water from spreading across the floor when showering. However, there is hot water. There wasn’t a hairdryer in the room, but upon request, the reception brought one right away. The bedroom is incredibly cozy and inviting, with a very comfortable bed. You can choose between soft ambient lighting or brighter lights. The windows are soundproof, which is great since the room overlooks the street, but no noise can be heard inside. The room itself is also very spacious. We stayed on the third floor, and the staff kindly helped us carry our luggage up upon arrival and down upon departure. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a delicious hot drink and a small welcoming ceremony, which made our stay feel even more special. One morning, they generously offered us a free tour of the more local, less touristy temples, and we absolutely loved experiencing the authentic atmosphere of the area. The best part? The service was absolutely outstanding. Breakfast was delicious, served at the restaurant of the hotel across the street, The Nanee. The service and quality were excellent. We also had dinner there one evening, and everything was exquisite. Thank you!

My favourite place to stay in Bhaktapur. Location is amazing and the service is wonderful. I was able to switch rooms and was even provided with a water boiler. Laundry service is very convenient. Felt very welcomed and taken care of. Also: There is an amazing view from the roof terrace!

The gentleman at the counter was so helpful and friendly. He insisted I have tea or coffee with him.

The hotel is located in a beautiful location, just off Durbar squarre, but in a side street, so it's quiet. The owners and staff are very pleasant and hospitable. Breakfast was excellent on the terrace overlooking the old town. The room was clean and well furnished, beds comfortable, hot water running, wifi was sufficient.

The property was absolutely beautiful! Our room was clean and everything was lovely and peaceful. The staff were fantastic and the food was great! Couldn’t recommend hotel new dragon enough fantastic value and in a nice location!
