    Good communication with owner. The house was clean, newly decorated and well furnished. The designated parking space saved any worry over where to park. There are plenty of things to do nearby, including lovely walks and visits to castles, pretty villages and coffee shops.

    The location was perfect with walks near by and village a short trip in the car. You could walk to the local shops if a keen hiker. There were also some interesting places to visit near by.

    The property was clean, comfortable, very well equipped, and surprisingly spacious! We really enjoyed the views of the countryside and the wildlife. The location was great for exploring the Peak District and beyond. We visited Buxton, Bakewell, Hathersage, Castleton, Bolsover Castle, Manchester and Barnsley... plus many spots in-between! The hosts were brilliant in ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hartcliffe Retreat to anyone looking to stay in the area.
