We liked the cottage as it was so authentic and very comfortable. It even had a fireplace and a very comfortable living area. There were tea and coffee facilities in place including a fridge, freezer and a microwave but as we only styed there for one night, we did not use anything.

Superb location in the north west, not far from facilities in Kinlochbervie but quiet enough to feel appropriately wild; with great local cove beaches, and right at the start of the walk to expansive sandwood bay (and we also drove up to Durness and Smoo cave and down to Scourie past Handa Island). The home has a great kitchen dining area with a gloriously warm woodburner. The rooms were comfy, with views of the sea, little isles and the neighbouring hills. The shower pressure was excellent, and with the second bathroom with a bath in it we were spoilt for comfort! Can imagine it is spectacular in the summer and it was absolutely magical for our winter stay.

This was our first experience of staying in a pod, and it exceeded all our expectations! The views were stunning. The pod was designed with so much care and thoughtfulness. Spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable bed, lovely gesture of chocolates and wine. Total luxury packed into the small space. Incredible!
