The host had thought about everything that we would need for our stay. The fridge was stocked with milk, there were ice cubes in the freezer, fresh flowers on the table etc. It was nice and warm ready for our arrival and the welcome basket was a lovely touch.

Great location. Near enough to walk into Matlock. Cottage was very homely, well maintained and extremely well equipped to make your stay more enjoyable. Beds were very comfortable. Lots of useful information provided to help with your stay. Great pub nearby for food. Perfect for our short stay.

It was lovely and clean. Had absolutely everything you needed for 1 night or 1 week! It’s lovely and spacious, beds super super Comfy! Everything you need is right on the door steps. To explore places it was only a 30/40 min drive minimum to where you wanted to be.

Perfect holiday home, very cosy and has everything you need. Super clean. The beds were comfortable and we slept great. Loved the garden for my dog. Very close to local town and shops, we enjoyed exploring the local area and further afield in the beautiful Peak District. Host was super friendly with good communication. There’s a busy road outside but it’s not loud at night, ear plugs were provided in case of disturbances but we didn’t need these, the host thought of it all. We really enjoyed our stay and will be booking again!

    Location was excellent. What a lovely village! House is very well thought out and everything that you need has been provided. Washing facilities, toiletries, a fast charger for phones, and even a record player with some vinyl. Some lovely touches throughout. We would definitely stay in the future if we were back in the area.

    Really comfortable and beautifully refurbished and fitted cottage. We stayed with two of us and it was everything we wanted. Good views over the village and the countryside around too. Wirksworth is an interesting and quirky village with good local walks and easy access to places of interest around. The owners were very friendly and helpful when we had an issue adjusting the heating control which they fixed for us straight away.

    Probably one of the best equipped holiday homes we have ever stayed in. One cannot ask for more. Also exceptionally clean. The hosts were very communitative, friendly and happy to help out when needed. Wirksworth is a gorgeous village to spend some time, close to bigger towns and the amazing and impressive Peak District is on the doorstep. The Tenth House on the whole is cosy and feels luxurious.
