We are a family of 5 (to adults and three kids (9-17y) who stayed at Agriturismo La Calamaia in Gorfigliano. Damiano and his parents provided the best service and did everything to make us feel at home. The village of Gorfigliano is very small (600 inhabitants) and placed in the mountains surrounded by the Apuan Alps (great for hiking). A peaceful place for those who wants to explore the real Tuscan mountain atmosphere and who is seeking tranquility and contemplation. The city has an outstanding pizzaria (La Nina), to small groceries, two cafe’s, and a warm local atmosphere. The apartment (two app.) is well-equipped, clean and built in genuine authentic materials and the apartment we lived in is spread over two floors and has both a balcony and a courtyard. The pool is not the biggest, but nice, clean and child-friendly. We made pizza in the pizza oven and were shown around Damiano's goat farm, which was really interesting and only a short drive away. To sum up….Gorfigliano and Agriturismo La Calamaia offers a tranquil escape in the heart of Tuscany's natural splendor. It is a place where visitors can enjoy the outdoors, explore historical sites, and immerse themselves in the authentic Italian village atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Cleanliness and facilities are on the top. Walking distance to the sea and local shops. My mother loved it, so that is what counts. It's in the first floor without lift, if someone have walking difficulties, they should consider other accommodation.

We rented the second floor of the house as a family of 3. It was easy to find it in a cosy village. Parking near the house in the yard. The apartment is new, spacious, clean and cosy. Everything is just super! The kitchen is fully equipped, all kitchen utensils are brand new. Separate rooms (for the child and my husband and I) Washing machine available. Separately, I want to highlight the shower (very comfortable and cool). The owner was always in touch and responded to every question I had immediately. We are very grateful for the beautiful modern apartment. We will definitely come to you again. I definitely recommend it!

    Villa located in the nature. Very clean and with all the comfort you need. Rooms are big and beds comfortable. Communication with owner was perfect and he was really flexible and nice towards us. We would definitely come back on better season.
