We loved this place SO MUCH. Arrived at the end of a long day of cycling, feeling almost broken. We got in and the view, the house, the treats and the care the owners had taken in readying the house made us feel on top of the world. We drank tea on the deck; watched TV; had a bath in the amazing bathtub; and didn't leave the house at all until we checked out. Which worked out, because there us not much around, and it's in a very quiet spot. The owner was very helpful and responsive too. Favourite place we have stayed in in Japan, by far.

An authentic home restored beautifully by Dani and Evan! The touches of original furniture and vintage furnishings really set this house apart from anywhere else I have stayed in Japan. Dani and Evan were so welcoming and gave us great recommendations for local activities and restaurants. A perfect stop half way along the Shimanami Kaido Cycle Route. Dog friendly. Well equipped. Clean. The dog run was such a treat. It’s big and well maintained. Facilities were modern and clean. Beautiful traditional Japanese home that has been refurbished with modern toilet, shower, bath and even an outdoor onsen. Parking onsite. I was granted a late check in at 10pm due to a late arrival. We used it as a base to explore the Setonaikai Park. The home was very conveniently smacked in the middle of all the different islands with easy access to the mainland in the north (Hiroshima) and south (Ehime)

Kazu and Staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. They provided us with great recommendations of local restaurants/shops and activities. Very clean with great sea view. Comes with a free parking space which is a bonus.
