The location is incredible in front of this huge tori. Waking up seeing this is incredible. The house is super confy and we’ll equipped. The little cafe near offers yummy breakfast and you are just walking distance from the sights.

A beautiful property, traditional style cedar floor and walls, very comfortable and relaxing space. Eco conscious ownership with a great compostable toilet system, which was very hygienic. It’s set in a great location for visiting Onsens, walking trails and exploring the area. Convenient location to the supermarket and bus stop.

I really enjoyed my staying here. Unfortunetly just one night and alone. This is a perfect place to spend at least some days in a group. I hope I have the chance to do this one day. The house is mainly home made but everything you need is there. The host even left me some snacks and small food for the night. I enjoyed the silence of the morning and I have slept like a baby. Even if it's not the clean fancy place some people may search, in my opinion for a Kumano Kodo hiker this is the place to be! Countryside mountain Japan vibes! Thank you a lot for it!

Excellent cabin house, cosy and warm :) gives a sense of comfort living in the nature! Shino, the owner takes care of your needs and food, she is very prompt in responding and has been a great help to me! Appreciate her very much and her meals are fantastic! We stayed one night in connection with hiking the Kumano-Kodo trail. The house was both large and cozy and equipped with everything we needed. Shino is such a kind and helpful host. We also requested breakfast, lunch and dinner, and everything was delicious. Overall a wonderful experience, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Very nice place to stay. Very spacious remodeld japanese house that kept the uniqueness off the house. Loves the helmet as decoration in the main bedrooms. Very responsive and helpfull host.

The location was a little bit far from the Nakahechi pilgrimage trail but pretty location overlooking the river. Beautiful property, very clean and has all the kitchen equipment you need to cook up a storm. They even left a travel cutlery set for each guests to keep. Beds were a little small for those that are taller but everything else was great.

The guesthouse is conveniently located near Kumano Hayatama Taisha and the bus stop, making it an excellent base for exploring the area. The house is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything you might need during your stay.
