Ciao! We recently had the pleasure of staying at Makini Bush Camp and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. The camp's location in the midst of the Yala wilderness was absolutely breathtaking. As an traveler who loves nature and adventure, Makini was perfect for me. The tented chalets were very comfortable and the private plunge pool was just what I needed to relax after a long day of exploring. The food was delicious, and I especially enjoyed the traditional Sri Lankan dishes served at the camp. But what we loved most about Makini was the experiences they offered. The guided safaris were amazing, and I was lucky enough to see some rare bird species, as well as elephants and leopards in their natural habitat. The staff at Makini were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to ensure that we had a memorable and enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend Makini Bush Camp to anyone looking for a unique and authentic nature experience. Grazie mille, Makini, for an amazing adventure!

Totally recommended! Great location, clean, cozy room (also has a fridge - not easy to find in Sri Lanka) and above all, kind, sweet and polite hosts!!!! The landlady woke up eraly in the morning (really early) before our safari just to prepare breakfast so that we have it with us!!! Totally worth staying in Amazon Cabanas!!

Such a pleasure to stay here! Clean room, beautiful serene pool area and garden. Food was great (We had curry both evenings) and the breakfast even greater, still craving the porridge! Safari and ride to our next accomodation was set up with no problems. Perfect place for a (safari-) getaway, don’t expect too much hassle, restaurants or shops nearby (a few km drive to a supermarket and fridge in room so you’ll probably have everything you need by the hand still.) If in Sri Lanka, I want to come back for a longer time to just soake in the calmness!

It was definitely once in a lifetime experience. The tree house looks straight like from a fairy tale. Never seen anything like it! We saw a big monitor under our villa We obviously had some concerns but the house turned out to be very stable. There is no a/c but there is a fan. There is no windows, just nets for bugs so it is quite noisy in the morning from all the birds. The host is very nice and the breakfast was good - some eggs and toasts and fruits

Beautiful place, only 4 villas sharing a pool in nature. Our villa was so clean really big decorated with style, the outdoor bathroom alone was 30sqm and so zen. Really the photos dont do this place justice. The staff is also so nice whatever you ask no problem they are so lovely.

The villa was very big and what I loved the most was the room and bathroom were separated. Hot water shower was also a winner because we had heater issues in 2 hotels which we stayed previously in Kandy and Ella. Rooms were clean and just outside our villa was a big compound where we play with the hotel pet dog - Chase. Amazing little guy, he made our stay very special.

Very spacious, and very clean place which you have all to yourself. Udara is an absolute star, and always on hand with anything you may need. He even took us down to the local beach as we wanted to relax on the sun and this was beautiful too and only a short ride away. The food on the evening prepared by Udaras mother and auntie was fantastic and so tasty, and plentiful. Even a washing machine is available should you need to freshen anything up. I happened to cut a toe on a rock, and the lovely Udara went out of his way to get some antiseptic cream for the cut which was so kind and thoughtful. We can highly recommend staying here, Udara sorted out our jeep for the morning safari and came with us which helped to spot all the wildlife in Yala national park and a lovely breakfast was provided to have at our convenience.
