The hosts were wonderful in communicating and accommodating our request to check-in earlier. The use of a key box made it really easy to check in. The apartment was very well-stocked with coffee, tea, and even jams and rolls! It was wonderful to arrive and find so much available! The evenings got cooler and the heater and TV in each room made it very cozy and comfortable! Parking was easy to find on the public road though like all older villages, we had to walk up a narrow alley with steps to get or the apartment so it might be less accessible for those who have trouble carrying luggage up a hill. The location was fabulous for walking around the village and seeing the vineyards.

Absolutely stunning place - the owners have done a fantastic job of remodelling this house. A beautiful view and great facilities. Very comfortable bed. We had “fun” driving the extremely steep and winding roads in our large car. Fortunately the owner was on hand to direct us when we got a bit lost. Definitely make sure you ask him for an exact map and location and definitely drive up the main road instead of the tiny narrow road up to the property. Your sat nav will probably take you the shortest route so you’ll have to figure it out. We walked into Pinhão twice. It’s a 30 minute downhill walk (your legs may feel it!) but it’s straightforward. Take a large umbrella and watch the dogs on the way down. We also went to the most beautiful winery Quinta Do Jalloto - that isn’t that far away up the hill to the main village and well worth a visit. The views are spectacular. We did a tour, had tastings and charcuterie platter. Antonio the owners son is an incredible and very passionate host. We would definitely stay again. Highly recommended. The photos don’t do it justice!

Comfortable bed. Very clean, great deck with charcoal BBQ. Lovely views up to the hills. Owner was exceptionally helpful. Parking garage under the building. Well kept pool.

Quaint stone cottage nicely modernised in lovely rural village just off the Duoro Valley. The hostess was extremely friendly who went out of her way to personally welcome us and ensure we were comfortable. Very peaceful setting.

The Vila was perfectly equipped with everything you need. Everything was exactly as described! Great Coffee machine coming with several capsules. Very nice pool (cold water but we entered as I was hot day) with stunning view of the river!!! Woke up early to see the river with the morning fog on top!!! I communicated with the owners via email and they respond quite fast and gave me tips re close restaurants and super. We met them afterwards (leaving on the next gouse) and they were so friendly and make sure nothing is missing. They are preparing Wine which we bought and is excellent. Pls note that Folgosa is a small place so in case you need to buy something, find supermarket on the way - Nearest supermakets are located in Peso da Régua or Armamar. Also not too many close restaurants around. We ate at local restaurant named Douro Jovem (6 min from the Vila) which was nice but I fully recommend to do barbeque in the perfect BBQ place they have there

    Stunning villa overlooking the magnificent Douro Valley located in a traditional little Portuguese village. We loved our stay here and were lucky enough to be able to extend for an extra night! Lovely walks to do in the area - we even walked 5kms downhill to Quinta do Tedo for lunch (caught a taxi back). The villa had everything we needed to self cater for breakfasts and dinners and was comfortable in every way. Highly recommended for your stay in this special region!

    Everything was clean and the house is very cosy. It’s located in a very calm village where you could listen only the birds during the mornings. It was amazing for relaxing! The parking lot isn’t easily accessible however there is enough space to park near the house. Only a suggestion to the owner that it would be easy to identify the house if there is any sign with the name of the house turned to the main street.

    A spotlessly clean, comfortable apartment. The bedroom and bathroom are stunning. Air conditioning a plus, as are the laundry facilities. Lovely terrace, great views, quiet little village. Easy access to other areas of the Douro. Parking in the apartments’ car park is tricky if you have a big car but possible. There is also some easier parking at the top of the street nearby. Need to drive to restaurants. Limited bench space to prepare food. We really loved our stay here. Easy communication with owner. Highly recommend. Thank you.

    It's a beautiful property inside and out -- many excellent design decisions. We enjoyed walking around the Adorigo village (Tabuaço district) an authentic Douro neighborhood. It's a fun ten minute drive up twisty roads from the river at Quinta do Tedo.
