Staff provided a complimentary transfer from the ferry to Kaka Retreat which was wonderful. They also helped us arrange a taxi to the start of the Rakiura Track the following day. Our spacious room was surrounded by native bush and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony listening to the birds.

Not a luxury option, but certainly adequate. Forgotten thier names now, but the couple who had only been running it for a couple of weeks were really helpful.

Kaka Retreat was awesome. Set amongst the native bush, bird life was brillant. You went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after, picking us up and dropping us off from the airport terminal. Showing us where everything was eg: Cafe, four swusre etc.

Kākā Retreat is cosy, quiet, and very comfortable. It's a short stroll from town and has a peaceful setting. The rooms are warm and the beds very comfy. We were welcomed in a relaxed way, and had everything we needed.

The proximity to Oban town centre was excellent, just a short walk to the centre of the village. Would definitely like to stay here again.
