Located near bus terminal (Tracopa - one of the mayor bus lines in Costa Rica), on walking distance from mayor San Jose's museums: National museum, Pre-Columbian gold museum, and a Jade museum. The guesthouse is a nice old house with everything you need. The kitchen is well equipped. Everything is very clean. The owner, Senora Mayela, is a treasure as well, a warm-hearted person. Staff was great and Kenneth was an excellent host. This is a National Heritage building and was still under restoration but could be an excellent place when completed. We were comfortable, the place was clean and surroundings were quiet, the attached terrace was a great place for sitting outside to read and eat. Walking distance to everywhere.

The breakfast was absolutely amazing! Additionally, Fabien went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable, got settled into Costa Rica, and literally went above and beyond in every single way to help me with whatever I needed. The home is small, but extremely clean. He was very respectful of my space and my needs and I felt completely safe and comfortable. This is a property I would highly recommend to anyone looking to spend a day or two in San Jose. His local knowledge and willingness to share that and assist me was truly exceptional. I will encourage any family and friends heading to Costa Rica to start their trip with him.
