Carlos's house is a gem as well as the host himself. A real homestay, tastefully furnished. His brekkies are real French cusine, never twice the same. We absolutely loved the cooler temperatures. Be prepared for a unique experience…the shower had ornate ceiling with plants growing inside and up above. Breakfast was served “family style” and the owner/chef engaged with his guests. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. Surrounded by lush forest!

She checked on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed, which we did. The home was in a beautiful area walking distance from Lake Arenal Park and recreation area and very close to restaurants and shops. Perfect weather...no need for a heater or air conditioner.
