I like how clean the room is and the staff, i think he was in charge of the concierge not the reception. He helped me with my luggage and he was very accomodating to me while I wait for my flight and said I could use the toilet or whatever I need while waiting for my flight. He was the best I wish I knew his name.

FAQs about hotels in Perth

Serene as the Swan

Sun-drenched and laidback, Perth is simply a joy to be in. However, the West Australian capital does have tourist attractions, such as the Colonial-era mint, important in the country’s gold industry. East is the WACA, a must-see for cricket fans, and the city is also mad for Aussie Rules football.

The city centre has the historic Government House and Supreme Court, both dwarfed by the ultra-modern skyscrapers a few streets behind. The best skyline view is from leafy King’s Park, near the War Memorial overlooking the Swan River below, named after its black swans. Across the river in Perth Zoo are more native animals including koalas, crocodiles and free-hopping kangaroos.

Boats to the zoo leave from the Barrack Street jetty by a sail-shaped bell tower. Other day trips from Perth include Rottnest Island and Fremantle, down the river in the opposite direction from Perth Airport.

The apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Perth are spread all over this fantastic city, interspersed with restaurants serving specialities such as western rock lobster and chilli mussels. There is also a wealth of bars, many playing the indie music that the city is known for. Local brews from the Swan Brewery and wines from the Swan Valley vineyards round off the evening.

We went over for a conference and stay an extra 10 days for a holiday. Visited Rottnest Island, Swan Valley, Kings Park, Rockingham, & Fremantle. Perth has a number of buses which make it easy to get around without a car. We did hire a car as we wanted to travel up and down the coast. But while we stayed in the CBD we used the Red Cat, Blue Cat, Purple Cat buses. Very easy and reliable. Did a tour through Kings Park and visited the Perth Mint. Did the Matagarup Bridge Climb and Zip. Played mini golf after we came off the bridge. Lots of fun.

I have rated Perth to be the best state in Australia. It was easy to get around; the people were friendly and helpful; everything was clean and well presented. The tours we attended were a very reasonable price and some were for free. It was a wonderful holiday!! Well done to the State Government!!

A great easy city to get around in.

A great easy city to get around in. Safe in most areas with a good police presence. Relatively flat city so easy to walk around in. Uber cheaper than a taxi, so avoid taxi's if you wish to save money. Great selection of restaurants in and around Elizabeth Quay. Great pubs with awesome pub grub. Nice walking paths along the Swan River to either side of Elizabeth Quay. Worthy to take a trip to the Margaret River!

Perth is a fantastic city, particularly for those with children. It’s family friendly with plenty to do and the weather is stunning. The beaches are sensational with many a walkway located alongside them. Cafes are abundant and cater for all, as are restaurants with prices to suit all budgets. People in Perth are also so friendly, great place to visit or stay on.

Perth is a souless boring backward red neck town. Its dead as a door nail most nights. Just as expensive as Singapore but not even close to being as vibrant and interesting. Give it a miss at all costs if you can.

Perth was the first stop of my Australia trip and I had the best start possible with Aurea hotel! Everything was great. The rooms are clean and spacious and have a cute balcony facing the park. The bathroom and toilet are very elegant and clean, and I loved the complimentary body lotion (a big plus!). Staff was always super nice and helpful, they accommodated for my requests and were very friendly too! The location is good as it's just a 15 min walk from Elizabeth Quay and just 5 min from King's park.

This hotel is literally in the city center, few minutes by walk far from Barrack Jetty or the Perth train station. The cleanliness of the room is astonishing and so are the soaps/shampoos. The hall gets scented by a Scent Australia machine and I've personally never smelled something so good anywhere. Chromecast easily configurable to be used with your own phone. Air Conditioner with touch controls on the wall, easy to setup. These days in the structure definetely exceeded my expectations

The Perth Ibis is within a short walk from the train station and handy to bus service. The harbour and the shops are all within walking distance. My room was on the backside of the hotel and was very quiet. No traffic noise. The breakfast buffet was in keeping with all of the 4 star hotels I stayed at during this trip in Australia. Lots of options and they are happy to provide gluten-free bread for toast.

I traveled to Perth from Sydney and only booked a room for one night. Due to Labor Day, the hotel was full and I had no place to stay. I had to go to the hotel one day in advance to store my luggage. The staff was kind enough to help me and asked if I could still stay. He helped me make inquiries when there were available rooms, and finally helped me book the last room. Thank you very much to this employee!

What I like the most of this hotel was super friendly and helpful staff! We needed to go to the Convention Centre, so the hotel was located just behind the centre. But it was still very close the city centre and Perth stations (both train and undergrand stations). It was also easy to walk to Elizabeth Quay and even to King's Park! You will enjoy the nice moring and evening walk to both places!

I’ve stayed previously in a two bedroom apartment and have just stayed in the one bedroom. So spacious with all the amenities you could need. So central and easy to get into the city. Compared to staying in hotels which don’t have half the facilities these apartments do, you’re really getting your money’s worth. I’ll be staying here every time I come to Perth now. Modern practical facilities. The best internet in Perth (honestly so hard to get a decent business hotel). Microwave available for reheating meals from the supermarket. Jogging area and gym outside. While the hotel is primarily for university based folk it is not that far from Perth and the bus hub is very close. I'd stay here again if I needed the working facilities.

The room was renovated and they provided a little brekkie pack for everyone as they have no restaurant at the moment. It was comfortable and quiet at night. We chose this hotel because it wasn't too far from the airport and we had to pick up our hire car from there the next day and also because we needed somewhere that would fit 4 of us.
