Great architecture and friendly atmosphere.
Great architecture and friendly atmosphere. Plenty of bars and restaurants.
It would have been very helpful if menus could have been in English for us as many times we didn’t buy because we didn’t know what we were ordering and the translate app wasn’t good enough at times. Made food ordering laborious and way to difficult at times.

Salamanca is a lovely city and definitely worth a visit. We stayed 3 night and were able to see everything we wanted without rushing.
It is a walkable city. We came by train and left by bus. We used the local bus only once, and that was to get to our apartment.
We were there during Easter weekend, so reservations are important. Great restaurants and food.

Salamanca has a very important role in the history of...
Salamanca has a very important role in the history of medieval philosophy, being one of the oldest continuously matriculated schools in the world, where Jesuits and Dominican friars debated about the universe and the rights of men, where Cervantes studied, and where inquisitors were honed. Well, a good background reading is a must rather than simply becoming a passive guest of this ancient city (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salamanca).
I stay here on my way north and south. The hotel might not be so convenient for visitors and tourists just visiting Salamanca, but: Safe easy parking and easy access to motorways without getting caught up in the city streets. Cheap (€10) taxi into town for dinner. Large quiet rooms and very comfy beds, clean well equipped en suites (in my experience few have baths, only showers). Charming staff and English speakers on reception. Large clean restaurant and bar area, with a patio in the garden for warmer months. Very reasonably priced.
The hotel room was very spacious, large and spotlessly clean, it smelled fresh when we entered. The staff were helpful. The location of the hotel is not exactly in the centre, but you can reach the Roman Bridge on foot in 5-10 minutes depending on your walking speed. You can park for free on the streets around the hotel, which is a great advantage. It is a hotel we will come again when we come to Salamanca again. There are both Lidl and Mercadona just one street parallel to the hotel, this is also an advantage if you need something.
My husband and I loved our stay at Mirador del Poeta. The location is priceless. The apartment was amazing, and the amenities were great too. The aparthotel is new, and everything is greatly taken care of. The location at the Plaza Mayor is unbeatable, being within walking distance of everything you might want to explore in Salamanca.
A beautiful hotel and right in the centre of the old town. All of Salamanca's attractions are at the doorstep.
The room was superb and felt luxurious. The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were lovely. Sercotel Puerta del la Catedral was the best hotel experience I had during my 3 week holiday in Spain.
Loved everything about unit! We were visiting our son who was studying this semester in Spain. Looked at lots of options before deciding to stay here. So happy we did. Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, local wine gift when we arrived. Only negative was we wanted to stay longer!
This hotel is a gem. We'd be travelled for 10 hours through France and Spain and were met with the utmost hospitality and care. A calm, restful sanctuary before continuing our journey the next day. They also welcomed and were excellent hosts to our dog, providing a bed and bowls for him.
The communication was the best I have known anywhere . The facilities were clean and immaculate. The location could not be any better so close to all the old town amenities. Which in themselves are a must see We will definitely return here when travelling through Spain
The staff was so grateful, specially Giancarlo from the front desk. The breakfast is so good and for a good value. In spite the fact that the hotel is almost 22 years old, the room look pretty great. Going back to Salamanca for sure that we should stay at the same hotel
A very comfortable hotel: excellent place to stay the night en route for Portugal or Southern Spain. The staff were very kind and friendly. It was easy to park in front of the hotel in the establishment car-park. The hotel is very easy to access from the motoway.
The hotel is within the historic heart of Salamanca and the perfect spot from which to amble around this beautiful city. It has a tranquil atmosphere wholly in keeping with the character of this exceptional location.
The hotel located at the industry area montalevo II, and well equipped with most of the things that business people need .
Stuff were very kind & helpfull and provided information about salamanca and other issues.
Great location, close to Plaza Mayor and close to either train or bus station. It is pet friendly, which is something I always appreciate even if i'm not travelling with pets, and it is a very clean hotel.
Exceptionnel in every way. Extremely unique hotel perfect restored from a convent. The staff and food were also excellent. It’s a perfect location in the center of Salamanca. We hope we will return.
