Pleasant and relaxing stop along the Camino trail (if one doesn't wish to stay in the major centers and towns). The hostel and hostel restaurant was relaxing and the food and drink was very good.

O Pedrouzo was an easy place to stop along the Camino, with a lot of accommodations and restaurants. While the Camino does not run through the town, it is barely a 5 minute walk to enter the parts of town with accommodations.

This was our last stop prior to arriving in Santiago. O Pino, delivered, a good few places where to eat and have a drink, buy some gifts, and the locals were very nice.
The town isn't very big but is very pleasant and calm which, as you walk the Camino, tends to be what you need and look for.

One Hostel next to the other albergue or hotel.
One Hostel next to the other albergue or hotel. And inbetween restaurants and bars... A town you have to walk through on your Camino - nothing to see... nothing spectacular... just the last stop-over before reaching Santiago de Compostela...

Perhaps I saw it at its worst, a public holiday.
Perhaps I saw it at its worst, a public holiday. It felt like a ghost town.
Can’t recall name of restaurant I ate in but it was on the Main Street, had two rooms with long tables in the middle of each room, so as a solo diner I felt fine. Friendly and good food at reasonable prices.
The property is in O Pedrouzo off the Camino Frances. It is a lovely clean Pension. We stayed in a private room with a shared bathroom and had no issues. The room had a view of O Pedrouzo. For the next morning we only had ~10 min walk back to the Camino Frances - very close. The pension is near bars and restaurants in O Pedrouzo. The owner checked us in and gave us a lot of good information about O Pedrouzo and registering to obtain your compostela and getting a QR code.
This is the first alberque you will see when you come into Pedrouzo . I had my own room so would highly recommend it if you want your own privacy rather than being in a bunk all the time ...owners make you feel welcomed and are there for you till 9pm only a 5 min walk to all the shops .
The hotel was amazing, fresh, clean, hip decor, and excellent customer service. The dinner was absolutely perfect so glad we dined at the hotel. The breakfast was also very fresh with excellent options. Can’t wait to visit again….
OMG! If the rating for this property was based solely on the staff, it would be 100%. Best treatment I've received from a Hotel Staff member. She was so sweet and caring... loved her! Highly recommended just based on this.
Spacious alternative to hostels or pensions in O Pedrouzo. Three or four people could easily share the apartment. Kitchen had some basic pantry items. The proprietor was very responsive to our questions.
The room was warm & cozy. It was clean. The breakfast for 8 euros was good. There was not a restaurant but they helped us order from a local restaurant and gave us meal setting in their hotel.
Amazing Albergue, super helpful staff, comfortable beds and an amazing location just off of the Camino. Much better to stay here than in O Pedrouzo. Can’t recommend more highly!
+ large room and beds
+ clean and comfortable
+ good location very near the road that drops down off the Camino into O Pedrouzo
+ not far from restaurants
Simply the best meal we have had in Spain. Also the room was fantastic and the bed was supper comfortable. This family run hotel is an absolute winner!
