A return to Salers and a stay here had been our list for several years - the location and view is amazing. All you can hear are the cow bells, the air is so clean and fresh, the views amazing. It feels like a family affair and the warm welcome was lovely. Parking is right outside and free. Our stay was as magical as we had hoped. If you are in the area and love history - visit the Chateau D'Anjony at Tournemire - we thought it was fantastic!

Simply the most welcoming and friendly hosting of accommodation we have experienced anywhere. Jean-Claude could not have done more for us, and we felt special being welcomed in to his family home; experiencing the lived life of a French family, whilst having our privacy respected and all our needs met. Great breakfasts and great conversations and tips for our touring and sightseeing. A truly delightful stay in one of the most charming of locations, beautiful Salers.

A gem of a place in such a lovely village.
The pool is great, restaurant is very nice!

We liked the welcome of the hosts, a super breakfast each morning, and touristic information given by the hosts, they were very helpfull.
The space bedroom in an old characteristic house was very pleasant. The wine cave, with other area specialities, gives you the opportunity to return at home with some souvenirs of the area.

I've never been in any other city like Salers.
I've never been in any other city like Salers. First, all the stone is grey, and the roofs are all slate, trimmed into semi-circles at the bottom end. Houses make best use of little space to create beautiful little gardens, from the ground and in containers. It looks like something from a medieval fairy-tale book. There are herds of cow in the pastures and valleys, and each wears a bell. With every move, there is a tinkle; it is musical, cheerful and delightful. The streets are walkable, there are interesting and unusual stores.
Beautiful, tranquil location, a very short walk to Salers, a private path provides a shortcut.
Very comfortable room with A/C. The room also had a very efficient fan. Important as we visited during a heatwave.
The best thing about our visit was our host. He really wanted us to have a memorable stay, he offered excellent advice for activities we could enjoy despite the soaring temperatures. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Breakfast was prepared to order - ask for it and he will do his very best to accommodate you!

The host was very warm and welcoming and also provided a welcome local drink and local cheese/meat. He was really interesting to chat to as well and gave lots of information about the area etc. It was in a stunning location with great views and only a short walk to the ancient town of Salers (a fascinating place that looked like a film set but it was real)
Everything! The hosts; Yves and Yan are just wonderful! The room was so delightful and cleanliness above reproach. The breakfast offered was amazing! The location! Perfect! Wifi available... no TV (a blessing!). Couldn't advise a better place to enjoy Salers and its surroundings. 🥰
