Non-muslims are not permitted into Mecca and the government of Saudi Arabia issues special visas for people making the pilgrimage. Most people coming to the Mecca will enter via the Hajj Terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport and Jeddah is the gateway to the city.
The Hajj has a fairly set itinerary including a visit to the Sacred Mosque, al-Masjid al-Haram, built around the Kaaba.

Whenever I have time off, visiting Mecca is always at the top of my list! It's a place that draws you in, and every time you leave, you feel like you haven't had enough and want to return for more. Besides performing Umrah and prayers, it has a unique appeal to the heart and soul. Of course, it is the House of Allah!

Love the comfy bed and pillows. The breakfast spread is massive and tasted good. The room is spacious enough. Short distance to masjidilharam but the buggy does help :-).

I liked the trip.
I liked the trip. Hotel location is prime location and there service is very good.( Swissôtel Makkah)
The only thing I can’t find kids entertainment or even near by Haram ( walking distance).
The people selling in the street making more crowd while going to Haram or others asking for taxi ride.
The virtual museum is good attraction. Especially for kids.
Shopping is overpriced.

Would like to come back again but the haram sharif was very confusing about which gate to use to go in and every day there was a change - as usual the security employees were very rude and discourteous specially to women

A beautiful city where you can work upon your soul.
A beautiful city where you can work upon your soul. It's a very important city for Muslims specifically. The moment you enter the city, you'll get an emotional connection with the city. The moment you enter the Masjid Al Haram, you'll forget everything. Apart from that it also has historical places to visit in and around Makkah. I would highly recommend this city to all Muslims that they should visit at least once in their life.

Mecca is our holy city around the year , every muslim is dreaming to perform Omra and Haj and to spend most of his time in Mecca . despite the fact that the authorities are making it harder for people to enter the Mataf area and even make it difficult to pray inside , it is still our objective to reach there always
The room is of OK size. I have seen bigger rooms in Makkah near haram but compared to hotels in Makkah towers or safwa towers the room size was OK. very clean. The staff was very helpful. Very near to haram. A lot of restaurants and other facilities like departmental stores and barbers are available in the shared space of Safwa towers. Staff at the time of check-in and check-out were very fast and helpful. The bathroom was clean and had no problem with clogs. Water pressure was ideal in showers.
Reasonable Price. Location is good in Al Aziziyah as its a short ride on taxi to Haram or hotel transport , when available. I preferred taxi with family and wheelchair accessibility. You can get dropped off and picked up very close to Haram gates and that makes the walk to a minimum compared to some hotels near Haram.
The reception staff are satisfactory, Service staff are quite friendly. The family rooms were simple but comfortable. All basic amenities available. Hotel food is fine.
Everything. The location not crowded compare the hotel near haram.
The staff- friendly and helpful. Even the bus driver also very helpful and help us with the baby stroller. It was so nice of him.
The room - very spacious and comfortable. It's worth the money.
The shuttle bus - always in front of the hotel. No need to wait long. Very efficient even from haram to hotel.
Easy to get groceries. It's beside the hotel only
Best customer services. Staff is very friendly and welcoming especially Tufayel Ahmed made our stay very comfortable. He was always smiling and willing to help. This kind of service is very rare in Makkah especially hotels near Haram. Rooms are slightly small and bed quality can be better but overall great hotel to stay. 10-15 min walk from Haram at normal pace . Good Wi-Fi and professional check in service and staff
A good and cheap option in Makkah... Shuttles are rare but in time and drop off at ajyad station near clock tower (takes 10 minutes) Thus you will arrive to Kabe in just other 10 minutes walk. Although it is very near to al ghaza bus station, dropping off near haram is just valuable. But it was not in time in fridays, keeping in mind, due to heavy traffic.
And no group of people.
Hotel is well located near haram, the hotel staff is very cooperative, specially I would like to mention Mr Abdur Rehman at the Reception who was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was also good. One minor problem is that size of washroom is small. Movenpick is highly recommended and I would also stay at this property whenever I visit Makkah again Inshallah
Good facilities, same as any five star near haram
(I’ve stayed clock tower, Anjum)
To get to haram which takes 5-10 mins by taxi cost 10 Riyals £2 (so good value) - don’t let taxis charge you more than this.
You can walk but takes approx 25 mins to get to Kaaba. Not bad, but some of the walk involves being roadside.
Hotel was so good, amazing cleaning, food buffet perfect. But far from Haram but they give shuttle but shuttle drop you also far from the entrance. If they drop you near haram then it will be super good, but at the moment you have to walk a lot to shuttle from haram.
the hotel is clean , near haram , the staff is so professional and patient , this is not my first time to stay in the hotel special thanks to Miss Ghofran , Miss Hadel from the reception , and Mr Youssouf from the guest relationship dep.. you all did a great job
The location is quite near Haram sharif. Taxis are easily available outside the hotel. It's quite a walk for the elderly because of the uphill road that leads to the haram sharif. Food could be an issue. Small supermarket is beside the hotel. Cleanliness was okay.
Very Good experience. Very good staff. Good location. Near Haram. Room was clean. Reception staff speak english. They do let me printout my PCR test Certificates as well. overall a very good hotel.
"Great value for money, excellent price point!"
"Impressive management, attentive to guest needs."
"Convenient location near Haram, ideal for pilgrims."
"Appreciated the ample parking facilities."
Breakfast was not included in the room. The hotel is near haram, however, it faces a major crowded bus stop area. This is the last city bus/taxi stop and from where people start walking to haram.
Location near haram 5minuts fantastic room service really good and will recommend every person to try this hotel the. He will never go to any other in makkah
