Gothenburg is a pleasant and relaxed city with plenty of beautiful parks and canals to spend a relaxed afternoon. The neighbourhood of Haga is not to be missed. The city doesn’t have a bustling nightlife though

Göteborg has a few very nice areas such as the Haga and the botanical garden. The people are quite friendly and good (sweet) food. And the trams are cheap with an easy app and take you everywhere (even to the coast!) It is not a very big city, so 2 days is fine to get around. If you do have another day, go to the Aeroseum, it is not what you expect.

Generally a safe and pretty place to visit, the park was huge and very well maintainted, the Haga district was great and the restaurants and bars are generally great for hanging out. Using public transport tickets it's possible to ride the ferries to the islands, a huge plus!!

I travelled with my friends and I really did not like the city. People there were rude and not accessible enough for tourists like us. We went to one of the clubs named yakida in night after dinner, the guard simply denied our entry and said only guest list people are allowed. But he was allowing every other person from their own country very easily without checking anything.
We felt discriminated there. Tried to ask people here and there but no fruitful response.
Addition to this, There was not too many things to see in gothenburg. I really didn’t like it that much. And would not recommend to anyone.

Gothenburg is not that touristic so don’t expect to find a lot of attractions. It’s great for shopping, I specially liked the tons of second hand and vintage stores around. Also, there are so many delicious vegan restaurants. I’m not vegan but I was fascinated.
Another tip is to go to the islands around to take a walk and a coffee. You can get there pretty easy and the same ticket for the train serves for the ferry.
This hotel was amazing! Felt I was stepping into the Ritz, says this is a 3 star hotel, in the UK it would be a 5 star, not sure exactly how they could make this even better. The staff were so friendly, let me keep my bag there even after check out and even let me charge my phone too. Beds were really comfortable, loved the walk in shower, room was a really decent size. Very close to the tram stop too which was ideal. Breakfast, fika and dinner was included too, also didn't realise could get free bike rental too. Loved my stay here
Anna&Jesper's place was simply incredible. The hotel had so much warmth and heart and every little piece of furniture felt so well chosen. The beds were just amazing and the rooms were so clean and stylishly decorated that the whole experience was just stunning. Also the breakfast (fresh bread!) was served in such a relax and comfortable way, that the place is definitely our first choice if we'd come back to Gothenburg. It's also very close to the theatre, the opera and many museums.
It is a very tidy and clean apartment. I went to sweden for an important examination. It made me happy to have high quality sleep before the exam.Because there was no noise at all.
Some of my friends in centeral hotels regretted to be in hostels because of noise and bad odours. . The person who owns the place was very helpful and respectful. Even at the 04.00 am in the morning he helped me to figure out public transport to airport.
The friendly staff created a welcoming atmosphere and the breakfast was varied and extensive. The bathroom was mostly clean an designed beautifuly.
The hint at Swedens clean tap water in the rooms and the free waffle Buffet througout the day are very much appreciated.
The Hotel is situated not to far away from the most beautiful spots in Gothenburg, making it easy to walk wherever you want to go.
The hotel history, the location, and the breakfast were amazing, I really loved and enjoyed it. It was a very friendly and popular place, a lot of people were always at the hall, where you can enjoy a coffee. The hotel has an amazing history and it's one the oldest in Sweden. I went to the Opera, the shopping, and the Park, and all were just a few steps. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
I am a critical person and room was so so. I can say enough for one night for me.
I need to write a tribute to the breakfast. Breakfast is very important for me and last time I had that good breakfast in a hotel in Hilton 10 years ago.
It really made my trip to Gothenburg. Please keep it as it is. If you decrease the quality. I will come again and write a bad review :)
Clean hotel in the renovated and modern area of Göteborg. Despite being quite distant from city center there is a lot of transport opportunities nearby (bus, ferry) so it’s not a problem. Our room was clean and cozy and we were enjoying stay there. The breakfast was very good, complete with different options. The rooms also have teapots and free tea and coffee.
It's a very nicely located hotel (5 minute walk to the central station and 10-20 minute walk to other city landmarks), has a friendly staff, has clean and neat rooms, and the highlight of it all is their breakfast. They offer a full Scandic breakfast with various good options.
We were able to have an end room which was slightly bigger than others, with views across the south of the city. The restaurant/breakfast rooms were superb and the whole hotel had a relaxed confident vibe - like Sweden.
The hotel room and washroom is nice and clean. Beds were comfertable. Breakfast was exellent. Staff is very helpful and nice. It was our first trip to Goteborg and the hotel makes our trip easy and successfull.
I could not live in it .. the reason is the travel restrictions to Sweden and the reservation was not refundable .. so I do not have any evaluation, perhaps at another time I can live in it
I needed a hotel close to Göteborg central (the train station) and ProfilHotels Opera couldn't have been closer. Breakfast is fabulous and staff is friendly.
very good room, spacious, silent, good internet access, good breakfast, nice hotel concept, parking available at descent rate, considering its location.
