Beautiful environment with superb views over the river from our room. Food good and service efficient and friendly. My husbands birthday was during our stay and I arranged for a cake as a surprise. A large ice cream gateau with sparklers was presented with singing and dancing from the staff which was fabulous.

We stayed at Toubacouta Lodge 4 nights insted of 3 because we loved the site, the swimming pool and its breathingless view, the food and the excursions we did on the delta river and the Fathala Reserve safari.Thank you to Ibou and his team. Their kindness and availability to respond to any request from us were impressive.No words to explain how nice they where and how quite and relaxing the Toubacouta is!

Les Fromagers se găsește în Missira, la 6,6 km de Rezervația naturală Fathala, și are o piscină în aer liber, o grădină, un lounge comun și parcare privată gratuită. The hotel is located in a beautiful village next to a lake and the oldest tree in this region (it's very impressive to see). We stayed at les Fromagers because we wanted to visit the Fathala Wild life reserve that is close by. On our arrival we found out that there are so many other activities to do like going fishing, watching crocodiles, visiting the islands etc. The owner of the place are very friendly and helpful. We experienced their great hospitality and felt very comfortable during our stay. I can recommend you also to try out their restaurant, since you get very tasty seafood there, freshly caught by the local fisherman. We will definitely visit again, when we are in Senegal.

Lovely place with the perfect host Celine. Very nice and clean room with comfy bed. The garden is an oasis to lounge in, with many different types of birds. Perfect base to explore the Seloum delta. The food is great, specifically dinner! Easy to arrange excursions from the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay. The room and the place is very clean. The swimming pool is well kept, and the breakfast is yummy. The hosts are kind and helpful. I would be happy to go back.

Offering an outdoor pool, Fathala Wildlife Reserve is located in Toubakouta. The property offers a wildlife experience. Free private parking is possible on site. Absolutely immersive in wild life, way away from the common, prices surprisingly reasonable considering the distance from Dakar. I doubted very much if it was worth traveling that far, arriving from Saly and Dakar, but after being there, my joy compensated it all

The property was recently renovated and the room was clean. The staff was incredibly (!) kind and helpful and the owner was very friendly as well. We enjoyed the garden with many different birds (birdwatching from the pool) and the delicious meal that was prepared for us. The boat tour arranged through the property was amazing. If you want to enjoy Toubakouta and not spend too much, I highly recommend this place!

Les Barracudas features accommodation located in Sokone in the Fatick region. A terrace with garden views is offered in each unit. The lodge offers a continental or buffet breakfast. Les Barracudas is very remote and is a uniquely peaceful place to visit. It was the place we felt the most removed from our busy lives in London and was the top highlight of our holiday to Senegal and The Gambia. There are lovely views over the Delta to soak in. It is very quiet with only the noise of singing birds or local fisherman in the background. The meals are simple, but delicious. It is not high-end luxury, but the environment and location is totally special. The air-con in the bedroom was a welcome addition. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. They made our visit feel very special. A particular mention to Adama for being so kind, always saying hello at every dinner and for helping us with our transport away from the lodge. Nothing was too much trouble. We saw lots of birds in the area and were completely relaxed. A true highlight of the trip.
